Dahlia Thelma Maude(Dahlia hybrid)produces huge deep red-purple almost black blooms.
Dahlia Giant Dinner Plate types feature large striking flowers that can grow up to 30cm across (the size of a dinner plate). These beauties will certainly put on a brilliant show in your garden so long as adequate fertiliser and watering is provided during the growing season. Like all Dahlias, ‘Dinner Plates’ are also ideal for pots and containers but flowers may be smaller. For best results stake plants to keep them growing upright.
Dahlias prefer a full sun to part shade position, and are also ideal for pots and containers. Flowers usually take 120 days to bloom once planted, and with deadheading will flower for months from summer into autumn.
